Eva is the Co-Founder and CEO of Beyond Capital Fund. Eva has 16 years of experience in investing for social impact. She was previously a Vice President at EnTrust Capital Inc., a fund of hedge funds, where she specialized in due diligence and portfolio construction. Eva is also an angel investor, the founder of The Conscious Investor, co-host of The Beyond Capital Podcast, and author of ‘The Good Your Money Can Do.’

Nicholas has been involved with the Beyond Capital brand for over a decade and oversees deal sourcing and due diligence. He previously served as a Director at Tyton Partners, a strategy consulting and investment banking firm focused on education. Nicholas holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, MIA from Columbia University’s School of International & Public Affairs, and BA from Johns Hopkins University. He is a U.S. Army veteran.
Patricia Chin-Sweeney

Patricia is the Founder of I-DEV International (and I-DEV Africa), an investment advisory firm supporting frontier market startups on capital raise, innovation, and growth strategy. She has advised startups and investors in East Africa for over 8 years. Previously, Patricia worked in M&A and corporate strategy for the Environmental Financial Consulting Group. She holds a BA, Barnard College; MBA in Global Business and Social Innovation, NYU Stern.
Matt Raimondi

Matt is Director at Sustainalytics, a leading impact investment and ESG advisor. Matt previously worked at BSR, a corporate responsibility consultancy and in other international investment and microfinance organizations, including Inter-American Development Bank and Kiva.org. He holds a MBA from IESE-Navarra and BS from Santa Clara University.

Prior to BCV, Pooja worked in Innovative Finance Advisory at KOIS, a global impact finance firm preceded by a Manager role at Invest India, Government of India. She has experience across startup scaling, government partnerships, blended finance advisory and investment management. She holds a Masters degree from the London Business School and a Bachelors degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi.

Isabelle Schmidt

Isabelle joined the Beyond Capital team as an Associate in early 2023. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University, where she was heavily involved with the university's Social Enterprise Institute and undergraduate impact investing group. While in college she completed internships for Boston Consulting Group, Sorenson Impact Center, and Wellington Management, across recruiting, investing, and impact management roles respectively. Prior to Beyond Capital she provided investment and operations support for a San Francisco-based early-stage VC fund focused on Latin America.
Cynthia Winki

Cynthia has experience spanning venture capital roles at Ganas VC and Dream VC focused on LATAM and African startups, entrepreneurial endeavors like her e-commerce startup, skills in investment analysis and portfolio management, ongoing educational pursuits including an MBA and CIFA certification, and a passion for the startup ecosystems in Africa and LATAM. She holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi.

Rama is an experienced coach and mentor. Rama has more than two decades of experience in strategy and marketing in both the corporate and development sectors in India and the Asia Pacific region. She has been a mentor on the UNITAR Fellowship for Afghan civil servants. Rama serves on the boards of two companies as independent director. She also mentors social businesses and teaches Social Entrepreneurship.
Samuel Mugoya

Samuel leads syndications at the African Development Bank. He has 10+ years of capital markets experience as an executive at the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank and the African Export Import Bank. Previously, Samuel had a 20-year career with Uganda Commercial Bank and Royal Dutch Shell Group. He has managed high-performing teams in executing landmark transactions and projects.
Paula Mariwala

Paula was one of the first venture capitalists in India, with 25+ years of experience working and investing in tech companies in India. She is the Managing Director of Seedfund, and co-founder & President of Stanford Angels India. Paula sources, evaluates and mentors start-ups. She is also an advisor to SDG philanthropy platform, Social Impact platform iDoBro, Massive Fund Incubator, and is a founder of KREA University.
Ajaita Shah

Ajaita Shah has over 15 years of entrepreneurial experience operating businesses in rural India through microfinance, distribution, marketing, and gender inclusive business models. She is the founder of Frontier Markets, a Beyond Capital Fund portfolio company. Ajaita received the Forbes 30 Under 30, Digital Women of the Year award and serves on the Board of Frontier Innovations Foundation and SHINE Invest.

Shirin Hund, MD
Dr. Shirin Hund is a Harvard-trained internal medicine physician who is passionate about medical education and systems improvement. She has combined her clinical acumen with her expertise in analyzing complex health organizations to improve clinical outcomes and hospital metrics. She is an alumnus of the Harvard Macy Institute for Medical Education and is a prolific researcher in the field of cancer immunology.

Kenneth is the founder and CEO of Biocom, a specialist medical communications and education agency. Biocom is a leading innovator in the use of cutting edge technologies and behavioral medicine to further the communication between the healthcare industry, providers, and patients. Biocom has been used to train doctors, nurses, pharmacists and others on how to communicate with patients to improve the quality of care.
